December Brunch

Posted by Suzy Hayden on December 24, 2010 at 9:46 AM

Amidst heavy rains and lightning storms, we still managed to have a good turn out for December brunch. Those who attended enjoyed food and fellowship, singing carols, and playing games. Everyone walked away with a prize or two, which consisted of a BCW logo ballcap, teeshirt, ballpoint pen, keychains, refrigerator magnet calendars and various other novelty items. We shared original Christmas stories around the table and then discussed the chapbook project finishing touches and final publishing details. Our next meeting is scheduled for January 8, 2011. We will tweak and edit our Chicken Soup for the Soul submissions. If you don't have one, then write one or bring whatever you do have and share it with us. We will also be going over some writing techniques and have a couple of exercises on them. As decided in a previous meeting and mentioned in previous emails, we will not be having a brunch at every meeting. It was decided that a quarterly brunch would be sufficient. Our next brunch won't be scheduled until April.

Happy New Year,

Suzy
